Problem
Air pollution kills between 30,000 and 80,000 people a year in Italy.
The Po Valley has high rates of particulate matter, especially in cities, but these vary considerably from area to area.
Standard air quality monitoring is done from ground stations with a high installation cost, which allow rough estimates of daily pollution on a local scale.
Solution
RicaricAIR is the first 100% made in Italy electric vehicle charging station with real-time air quality monitoring and integrated visualization. Data collected from a network of stations scattered throughout the territory are collected on the cloud and processed together with other information (wind direction and speed, weather data, traffic information, orientation and height of buildings, etc.) to develop a local pollution map with a resolution of up to 10 meters.
RicaricAir's dual function (electric vehicle charging and air quality monitoring) cuts installation costs by 65 percent and maintenance costs by 40 percent, compared to separate solutions.
